Information/Rules about the Friday Night Waterpolo Comp at MLC
The Draw
• The Draw is below and may have to change so please inform all players, parents, team managers
and coaches to check the Wednesday before the game for the latest draw. There is three divisions,
division 1 (red), division 2 (green) and division 3 (blue). Division 1 (red) being the highest level.
The Game
• Each game will be 30 minutes long. Consisting of 4 x 5 minutes quarters running time, including
30 seconds shot clock, with no time outs. Allowing 5 minutes of warm up, and 1 minute breaks at each quarter,
2 minutes at half time. Each pool will have one referee. The games will be otherwise in accordance
with the FINA rules of waterpolo. Also each team needs to provide their
own caps, the draw indicates which team is in white or blue caps and starts from which end.
• Girls will be required to sign on before each game at the table
located towards the deep end of the pool (as the players sign on their nails may be checked). For girls to be eligible to play in the finals they will
have to play at least 3 games.
• The girls will have a short time
to warm up but most of the warm up and cool down should be done at the shallow end of the pool away
from the games.
• Could each team please provide one(1) team official to help out with the table, during their game, it is
not a difficult job just have to record goals and exclusions.
• If you have problems, please let me know and I can try to resolve the issue.
The Results
• The results will be posted on this web site before Wednesday before the next game. Points = (3 for a win, 2 for a draw and 1 for a loss)
